 Please read :(
I have pups that are 2 weeks old. they have all gained weight normaly. the mother had only 1 pup last time and everything was fine. i was a bit nervous with it but we coped and she grown up to be a lovely dog that a family friend owns. this time she had 4 pups and sometimes doesnt seem right. so far shes been fine. but its 2:35am now and i cant sleep. i went down stairs for a drink and found a pup on the cold tiled floor crying. i dont know how long it had been there. she had made no effort to go to it or move it. she had also recently vomited on/around her bed but when i tried to assist she left the pups and ate the vomit. the vomit was clearly her dog biscuits. i cant get her to settle back in the basket. shes eaten a fair bit of food in the last 15 minutes. shes running around in circles. well, not quite running but kind of trotting about. ive left her for a while now to see if she'l settle but i can hear her barking now and again. i really dont know whats going on. shes a bit of an energetic dog anyway. im so worried something bad is going to happen to them. i knwo which one was on the floor so im going to monitor any further neglect. is it comon for new mothers to vomit or is there anyone else whos had a similar problem? please help. im desperate. x |
