I have been weighing this out as I read through all of the posts, thinking of my own five children and thinking of times when our livestock levels varied - both different situations but with a similar concept in mind and ya know, in so many of the different scenarios I considered when I applied them to dogs it just nullified my concern every time. Like the personal one on one time- it can be pretty challenging to get with your kids but that is because you have to find childcare for the remaining children (which is challenging enough to do for the group wen you have a dr appt or school is out for the day let alone rotating them) but we have baby gates and squeaky toys and çhews for our yorkie babies and I loved the three dogs comment where someone mentioned that if tue took one dog out for one on one time that the remaining two were always there to be each others buddies- how great! And issues with goats and sheep etc like fencing and grazing are also not issues because they live side by side in your home. I think if you are up for it- especially the grooming, then go for it. I also liked the three years apart recommendation. Can't wait to hear how this goes, either way
