I just got back from the vet with our new 11 week (on Monday) yorkie! He has a really bad case of ear mites. Does anybody know how dogs get ear mites? Does that mean his breeder wasn't such a good breeder? Can I still trust all the other advice she gave me?

I didn't do much research BEFORE buying my puppy (wish I had). Now we have him and love him!
