I don't particularly like tube feeding but sounds like he needs to learn. I don't think there is risk of aspirating at all. I used liver water with one of my pups….well now that I think back, the day before, I took him to the vet and they did sub q fluids and a drop of bethamethasone under the tongue. The vet told me it would make him feel happier. The next day I used the liver water and all of a sudden, it was like a switch was flipped. I'm not sure which it was that worked or a combination of all but this is a critical time. I'm thinking that another vet more familiar with newborns might be a good idea….. Good luck…will be hoping for a good outcome….
