I used to toss pieces of kibble for one dog of mine to chase and eat - the only way I could get him to eat. You'll have to use small enough pieces that he can get them but if nothing else, try it and see. Sometimes when they are not sick at all but just not eating for whatever reason, tossing their food pieces out for them to run and get will spur them into eating it.
