Glad he had some syringe food. I had to play games with Max to get him to eat. He performed tricks and I would give him the kibble as reward. We finally graduated to filling a Kong toy with kibble so that I didn't have to hand him every single piece of food.

It's a delicate balance doing things to encourage them to eat without making them so nervous about eating. You don't want to hover and act anxious. If you put the food down and then immediately start offering additional enticements or alternatives, he will think there is something wrong with the food and not eat.

I presented Max's food like I was giving him gold.
