So I guess Charlies a little fatty. I took him to the vet today (his knee seemed to be bothering him again
). Well the good news is, his back knees don't seem to have progressed too much based on the examination the vet gave him, but he said he needs to lose about 2lbs. He's at 14lbs right now and the DR said we need to bring him down to 12, especially because of his knees... That we need to be extra careful about his weight not getting out of control so we can keep his knees under control. So I ordered some special food the Dr recommended and they will call me when they have it in a couple days. It's Royal Canine, but forgot which one. The dr said that kind isn't available in stores though... but it should help him drop some weight. So I guess I have to be not as generous in the table scraps and snacks.... Charlie loves to eat so I'm going to feel bad.. But his health is more important. The vet also gave him some pain meds for his knees so he can take them until they feel better and said to keep an eye on him, but that he didn't think he would need anything further at this time.
