Relative to the crate and xpen: I bought a little kitty travel crate to bring Max home. When we got home, I realized there was no way that I could let a tiny pup safely have free run of the house. We went out the next day and bought the xpen at Tractor Supply. Max liked the security of his little xpen apartment.
