It's set in 1965, and explains how Endeavour (Morse) became the man he was....it wasn't played by John Thaw (who I think was wonderful!) but it's excellent as a prequel.

Also wonder if you've watched the spin-off series 'Lewis'....again, not as good - but certainly watchable (once you get to understand the language!!! ) Sally x

Kidding - but I did so enjoy much of his work that I saw.
