I stayed at a friends place with her last November. I was house sitting for a few nights. It's very large (17th century estate house, with 22 bedrooms, very Bertie Wooster). A bit creepy to be honest!. She shook a bit when we went to bed and slept all night under the covers, but didn't bark once. Perhaps they accept it's not theirs to protect? In the morning she loved the run in the grounds and was very interested in the pigs, whom she wanted to play with.

I too was expecting lots of barking, but I felt the place overawed her, that said there was a lot of sniffing and snorting!

I think she'll be OK in the hotel, which is a 'dog friendly' place and we're staying in a little lodge in the grounds...
