My mom has medium/dark brown hair and she's been dying it blond since she was a pre-teen. She's had it dyed in salons and bought stuff like wella, she insists both of those dry it out more than boxed color. Her hair is very thin and she doesn't have much of it.
The only bad dye jobs she's ever had were from salons or when she bought a dye that was too ashy.
She was using l'oreal and then switched to garnier. She doesn't really have a system for choosing which dye to try. Her dye was recently discontinued so she's going to have to find a new one soon.
When she wants it dyed she has me put it just on the roots. |
