Yes...it did go down and it happened quite quickly. Her tummy seemed like it had a bowling ball in it and when she started on the metronidazole, she lost her tummy quickly. She lost 1/2 pound two days in a row and it was a remarkable difference. She still has flare ups now and then and her tummy gets bigger, but nothing like it did at first. It took much longer for her to get her strength back and build up her muscle mass, but slowly but surely, she did. I also give her a product called Seacure which I believe has helped her a lot.
