oh my goodness! She sounds like my first yorkie. We went kayaking and she took a huge jump off and sunk like a rock....thank God she had a leash on and we could pull her back up. After that incident, she swam like a pro though!

If you get the zip kind, make sure you latch it some how if it doesn't come with a latch/hook. Allie figured out how to get her nose in the little space under the zipper and figured out how to unzip it.

I didn't have her tethered in, because I wanted her to be able to move around since we were sight seeing and taking a dolphin cruise/tour. I now tether her, as well as putting a hook on the zipper zip that latches to the frame.
Ps I can't swim, but I was about to jump into the ocean to rescue my dog! |
