There is an argument to be made that soap is too harsh and not ideal for health. I read skincare forums and there are people who never use soap on their faces. They wash only with water or various solutions of olive oil, oatmeal, and other natural ingredients. The also use sodium chloride and sulfate free shampoos.
Relative to the flea and tick preventatives -- My understanding is that the chemicals are absorbed into the body and that is how they work, so it is safe to wash after about 24 hours. In other words, the preventative is not working outside our pets' bodies, topically. Is this correct? |
Nope, fraid not correct. This is Vectra 3D....and does not absorb into the blood stream . It is a topical, squeeze a little tube on backside mid back up to base of neck.it will then spread to other hair follicles and repel and kill fleas and ticks. They said they can feel,it spread and kinda wiggle a little, but as soon as a flea or tick lands on them they get right off. There is a picture of 2 hands one covered with mosquitoes , the other not....hmmmm
That is why you must not use a shampoo that contains soap. Washes it off.
