I have wondered lately about tv advertising, what creates the big shifts in which products we see the most. Coke and Pepsi commercials were huge in the 80s and 90s, and then seemed to take a break after 2000, except for big events like the Super Bowl. Now they seem to be making a comeback.
Alka-Seltzer was a heavy advertiser, but I haven't seen a TV ad from them in ages. Men's razor blades and shaving cream aren't really big anymore.
Cars and pharmaceuticals are about the only consistent products. | Oh the chuck wagon commercials lol ! I totally forgot about them |
