I opened it right after it was posted but could not respond until now. If I knew how to quote multiple authors I would, the one that said I have experienced enough tradgedy to lack humor in a painful jest, well yea - that. My heart sank and then I was appalled. But then, I am not a very good joke taker, too literal I guess. Or it was that giving birth to five living beings and then nurturing them with my own body. Or the sacred moment when you take the life of an animal that you raised for food to feed your family with as much respect and dignity as you possibly can. Or when you have been up all night administering fluids through an oral syringe alternating heated blankets and trying your damndest but she dies in your arms. Sigh.
