I don't know...I don't think it's cruel...It's wrapped so that they CAN play and run with the other non-show doggies. If it was down, they wouldn't be able to because they'd trip over it and get it all matted up which could actually be painful. Like someone already said...It's like a human with rollers in their hair.
Also, so many yorkie owners dress their yorkies...It's not "natural" for a yorkie to wear clothes, but people dress their dogs anyway. I wouldn't dress Miko if he didn't like it, but he actually likes to be dressed. Everytime I get out one of his shirts, he comes running to me and sits patiently waiting to be dressed kinda like the yorkie that still wanted to get wrapped even though she wasn't being shown anymore...
