I posted about this in the general forum but figured I would ask in here as well.

We finally decided we're going to go with K9 Advantix for Logan's flea/tick prevention.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with splitting up the doses with this product? "Small dog" dosage is 0.4ml and the larger dog dose have much more product in them for nearly the same cost.

I'm wondering if I could measure out 0.4ml from a larger dose with a needle-less syringe?

I spoke with a rep on the phone today about it and she said they can't recommend doing it... but I also figure she's not ALLOWED to recommend it, as it would be ripping off the company.

But as far as everything else she said, it's the same exact product in all sizes, just disbursed in different amounts. So mathematically speaking, it would be a LOT more cost effective to buy the larger dose and break it up over time. What I worry about is how well it will store after being opened? I'm not familiar with the packaging of this product so I'm curious if anyone has done this?

Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
