While this is indeed a horrible disease, it can be managed! My Cookie was diagnosed with PLE (lymphangectasia and IBD) in December 2011. She is doing very well !!! So, don't throw in the towel.
If you can go to a board certified internist, I highly recommend you do so.
How is your pup doing? Sometimes they don't get diagnosed until they are very ill and that makes it more of a challenge. But you can get it under control with the proper diagnosis, meds and diet. Diet is extremely important for these pups!! I did a consult with a vet nutritionist and I believe it played a major roll in Cookie's well being.
