When I was looking for a new dishwasher I wanted one with a stainless steel tub because I always thought of the antibacterial properties. The salesman gave me an article that basically said plastic is better than stainless steel in dishwasher tubs beccause bacteria can't latch onto the plastic in dishwashers. I still bought the stainless steel tub.
