So I was watching one of the dog shows on television and something reallllllly bothered me. I noticed that every single dog was pratically being dragged across the floor

Is this a normal practice? The had the leash around their necks and their poor little necks were being stretched so high up and you could tell they were being dragged because their front legs were gliding across the floor. This was especially apparent with the toy and terrier groups, since they are somewhat smaller dogs. It just bothered me because the dogs were NOT having a fun time and it looked really cruel and unusual

Is this common? Why do they do that to the poor dogs? I'd love some insight on this. It just bothered me. I don't want to start anything but I felt sorry for those poor babies, and the wrapping thread got me remembering the dog show. I mean no offense to any show dog owners, or anyone else, I am just curious.
