I have never heard this from anyone personally. I've taken a lot of time insuring that my little dogs act like "real dogs" and not tiny monsters. Ok, ok, they do act like tiny monsters too, but only to the bigger dogs, lol, never people.
Penny is so tiny, sometimes I forget that she isn't a 3 month old puppy and is 11 months now. When she does something cute or doggie, I say all the time, "Oh, she looks like a real dog!" My aunt comes back with, "What is she supposed to look like, a fake dog?" It's funny. So, maybe I'm being a "big dog person" by saying things like that. I don't known. Obviously, I would never say it to anyone else. :P
