I wonder if her bladder or urethra were somehow affected by her surgery? Or she's developed a bit of a UTI? If she's still on medication, it could be related to that but otherwise, it's so odd that this suddenly started after a spay surgery. What does the vet say? I'd sure run her in for a recheck and Ua if you haven't already.
