It's my own personal opinion, but I would never leave a pet in a hotel room unattended without leaving them in a crate. You never know when someone might enter the room and your pet could escape so quickly. Even leaving them confined in the bathroom could be risky. If someone entered the room and left the door open and then opened the bathroom door, your pet could be gone.

My Zoe is tiny, less than 3 lbs, but when she is determined to run, it's hard to catch her. She would probably try to lick even a stranger to death rather than run, but I would not want to risk it.

A few hours in a crate won't hurt them, if they are healthy otherwise, and could save you a lot of heartache.

Wishing you the very best!! And congratulations on the new grandchild!!!
