You are so right about many larger dogs being ornaments who are rarely, if ever, walked. This is the case with many people in my neighborhood.
I'm surprised though when I take the boys to places like the home improvement centers that the big, burly men are usually the ones who have nice things to say about Max and Teddy. Even when my dad walks Teddy, men will stop and compliment Teddy.
