The kennels I have are 17''x 20" and can be oriented in different ways because there are two doors on each. The doors are rarely closed on the kennels and they use them as they would any other bed. (And my two, as you can see, like to snuggle with excessive blankets and plush toys as though in a pile of litter-mates. Also, my younger pup has swallowing issues, so a water bottle is attached to hers.)
