Thanks for your helpful response! I, too, am looking into pet insurance and am confused as to which one I should go with. Like Sukey I've narrowed it down to Pet Plan and Healthy Paws. Sophie is due for her vaccinations so I think I'll take your advice and have her vet do a thorough exam. I do know she has loose hips. Nothing serious as of now, but the vet thinks she might require surgery in the future. : ( Unfortunately that's a pre-existing condition.
