Which made me think it is all just gross. We chose blue buffalo for our puppy at 6 weeks. After about a week of transisitioning from the purina the breeder gave us he started having loose stools. But After another week or so they firmed up except he would go 5/6 times a day... (sometimes probably more than that I'm not kidding) and he doesn't eat very much. So I got to reading and turns out alot of people have trouble with blue buffalo causing diarreah. That made me think that the frequency of his going maybe was caused by the food and I decided to switch. I think blue buffalo is a very good quality food and some dogs do very well and some do awful. After reading like you are for about a week I finally decided on switching to wellness Core based on the fact that they use pepole grade food rather than wastes and my only complaint so far is that transitioning him is impossible because from day one he would pick out all the bits of wellness and leave the rest. I'm actually thinking I will have to throw away the blue buffalo cause he won't touch it.
He now poops twice a day! |
I have to agree with you on the blue buffalo for sure! I did the same exact transition and wellness is the winner for sure. Chloe's poops were way too big for her size on blue buffalo and super stinky.. really a bad sign with the food. She did the same thing when I transitioned her, lol.. she would only eat the Wellness.
