I think that if you have love in your heart and a desire to be a responsible pet owner then you are ready. Since yorkies have so many health issues, I would encourage you to think about how you might pay for some things should they come up. We have many threads here about costs of things and insurance for pets. Yorkies can be fragile and when they need medical help, it is often costly. Other than that, they are the best breed in the whole world. I'll never live without a yorkie.
