We use revolution as a flea preventative because our vet said that the frontline/advantage etc were becoming not very effective against fleas (my previous yorkies used frontline).

I'm going to ask about the best tick med when the girls get their bloodwork on Monday
Deer ticks are smaller than dog ticks, about half the size. Here is some info on tick identification:
