I would be very concerned about the sharp pieces tearing or puncturing everything from her esophagus to her colon and little rear end. I would take her to the vet this morning.
If these seed balls are on your walking route, put her on a 4 ft leash. Walk her alone and keep your eyes on her mouth. If she goes for a seed ball, give her the "No" command and lift up on the leash if necessary -- just enough to get her mouth away from the ball. If all else fails, you may need to put a muzzle on her to prevent her from eating the balls.
If the seed balls are in your yard, start raking, daily if necessary.
