I haven't read that one. However, my son bought me "A Dog's Purpose" for my birthday. I'm on chapter 5 now and it brought me to tears. It is told from the dog's point of view. He is born to a feral dog, goes to a hoarder, then... can't tell you.....too sad. But it is a realistic view of what life is like for most dogs.
