I read that he told the producers he wanted out, so they needed to figure out a way that did not keep him lurking in the wings. I think the actor made a mistake though, I don't seem him as a big time screen actor but I guess time will tell. I always remember David Caruso leaving that big time cop show thinking he had a big future in the movies. I think he went almost 10 years with only bit parts and then wound up right where he started on another TV cop show.
For me it was worse when Mary's husband on Downton Abby was killed off, I really liked him, but it was the same thing, he told the producers he wanted out. |
