Some behaviors that dogs get obsessive about need some attention from the owner. Obsessive licking can be annoying. You can help your dog by teaching her "no more" or "no more licking." Your dog should know what "no" means. You don't need to be mean just firm about the fact she needs to stop now.

Yes, Yorkies tend to be little love bugs that love to kiss their owners but here we are talking about something that a dog can't turn off by it's self. You need to help her little brain turn off the licking function by telling her no.

My Gracie loves to give kisses and she is allowed to do so up to a point but if she doesn't stop after three or more licks she is told "no more" and she knows to stop.

Since your girl has been over licking for a while it may take some training to get her to learn how to stop but it can be done. Just be consistent and persistent. I really think they want to stop but just don't have the shut off switch they need. You can help her
