Not all Yorkies go blind. There are several causes. One associated with the breed is progressive retinal atrophy. It is incurable. Another cause like cataracts can be surgical, if bad enough.
A general vet can pretty much rule out everything that could be treated. I did this with my girl. The three tests were about $75.
I know you don't want anyone to suggest that you go to a vet, but it is necessary. Somebody needs to look at those eyes and make sure immediate treatment is not heeded (e.g. corneal ulcers, etc.).
