There is more to placing a pup than just age. There are other things that need to be considered and each breeder is different. Of course they should always follow state laws as well as take into consideration each pups individual progress, health, size and the type of living situation each will be going to as well. I personally would never ever let a pup leave its mother or my home any sooner than eight weeks of age. There are just too many things that can and do go wrong and that pup is better if left with the breeder who is better equip to handle those types of things. You can't imagine the horror stories here on YT of young pups being sent to their new homes way to early. Than that baby getting sick and the new owner/family not know how or what to do. It can be very scary for anyone.
