You would be shocked at the strength these big birds have in their beaks. Inside is like sandpaper, so they can hold on to whatever they bite. And they can pinch hard, leaving their unsuspecting victim bruised all over.
And a warning about water birds with pointy beaks... they love shiny things and tend to go for the eyes!
