I think that one of the concerns with pork is the slight chance of trichinosis. Trichinosis is a parasitic disease carried by a roundworm that can be found in raw or undercooked pork & wild game. However, only a handful of cases are reported each year in the US. It's more common in developing countries. People who feed their dogs raw pork (or any type of raw meat) typically freeze the meat for at least 2-3 weeks to eliminate anything that could cause illness.
