Tooth surgery I took Josie 2-weeks ago for a check up cause she was limping on one front leg. I thought her and Jack crashed on the week-end when running back and forth to see who would be on first. Actually arguing who was going to get on porch sitting spot to see Sadie a neighbors dog who roams up and down road. Her leg turned out to be ok, possible sprang Vet really couldnt find nothing wrong and of course whn I get her back home she go to limping again. She got ok after a day or so.
While the Vet was doing an over all check on her she found that her back upper tooth was cracked down the side and on the bottom. Vet said it has to be removed or it will get infected. She said the tooth has the 3-roots on it and will be surgery. I am so nervous about having it done but I know it has to come out. She hasnt really starteds howing yet that it is bothering her although since the vet showed me I do notice she eats her kibble on the other side.
Her surgery is set for this coming up Friday, alone with her surgery they will also go ahead and clean the teeth alone with Jack's too.
Has anyone had to have teeth removed like this? What is the healing process consist of? Josie is 4years old and weighs 7lbs.
Also to add, vet ask what hard objects does she chew on. I can only think of the Nyla Bones they both chew on after they eat. Nothing else that hard are they given. What also could I give them to chew after they eat? Its like they chew to clean their teeth? |
