I use the Kindle application on my IPad, love it. What type of books to you like to read?
Yes you can loan books and yes it is for two weeks but also the publisher has to allow the books to be loaned. I have a pretty big library, but honestly I read a lot of Chick Lit (easy reading stuff) and some best sellers.
