Gizmo is home! He ate yesterday....the person who gave me that information yesterday evening was not very accurate. The specialist asked who I had spoken to, but I did not remember. All that worrying. Oh well...important thing is that he is ok.

Now, here's the scoop. He did not have a severe fulminating case of pancreatitis. His diagnosis is "enteritis" which could be many different things. His cPL was 500 which is elevated but not severe and the ultrasound had shown mild pancreatic inflammation. She said that any enteritis could cause that and also the fact that he has chronic pancreatitis would do it. He could have IBD which might also explain his intolerance to that home cooked diet...the only way to know is to scope and biopsy and he is 13 years old and frail and there really is no reason to do it. She said that we can treat as if...and that she wants me to work with the nutritionist. Urinary SO is much too high fat for him. So...that is the game plan! I have sent another email to the nutritionist.
I just fed him some RC gastro diet and he ate very well! So happy to see him looking so much better !
Thank you everyone for your support!!! It's so nice that people care so much.
