| Our kids greet my DH differently then they do me. With him it's all the crazy activity, jumping, crying, racing around to find and bring him a toy. Oh and the barking and screaming when they hear his motorcycle drive up. You'd think I was inside beating them to death.
But with me, I'll get some barking and they do all come to greet me, but it's not on the same level of crazy that my DH gets. I'm more the disciplinarian of the 2 of us, so I think that has something to do with it. Rather like Wylie's Mom said, perhaps they view me as more the Alpha. I get greeted, but DH is just another pack member so he gets the crazy greeting.
Now that said, our routine when I come home from work is to change clothes and then I sit down on the floor and we play for 10-15 min. This is when I get the crazy acting stuff from them. So maybe try something like this and see if he doesn't react more crazy a few minutes after you come in. |
