My yorkie had three bladder stones removed surgically this past Oct. They were calcium oxalate stones and this type of stone cannot be dissolved. They must be removed surgically. Struvite stones can sometimes be dissolved. The only way to find out what kind of stones they are is to have them removed and sent off. They are very painful and if your little one has 11, you might want to consider surgery. He must be in pain. The stones press against the bladder wall. Also, if the stones move into the urethra, he will not be able to urinate, then emergency surgery will have to be performed. Good luck!! |
