Probiotics will only help the digestive system as far as I know...As I am in the uk and granny to 3 week old pup tail docking is not permitted here ( I personally would not do it even it was allowed)...My thoughts are that the pup will be at risk without mum's colostrum and to put the pup through further risk/trauma/infection is quite frankly not worth it. This is my opinion for what its worth....
