 Probiotics for a pup?
I posted this in my whelping and boredom thread, but I figured its best to make this a separate post.
Rundown: My girl had to have a C-section on Wed and only one pup survived. She didnt get any milk in. I've got a very short time to make a decision on whether or not to get her tail docked. The worry I'm having is over her immune system since she didnt get any colostrum. Its not just the docking Im concerned about, I have to take this little one out for vet checks as well as she grows.
I'll make the decision by tomorrow morning whether to proceed with a tail docking and dew claw removal, but is it possible to give probiotics to such a very young pup to assist with her immune system? I'll ask the vet his opinion but I wanted to get the opinion of yorkie breeders as well. |
