Even if a vet is the best in the world, when a dog has a problem and needs to be seen, if he doesn't get seen by that vet (for whatever reason) then it's the same as having no vet at all.
And just another suggestion: IMHO a Urinalysis should be done and blood work rechecked every 6-8 weeks to ensure this pup is able to process needed nutrients from the food he eats. That happens in the intestines, when the intestines are chronically ill for a long time, nutritional deficiencies could result, and this will show up in the blood and/or the urine.
Also at this point in time, a endoscopic exam and biopsy to see and test would be worth doing. And send a stool sample to an off site lab for testing and culture. Off site labs do more thorough testing than can be done in any vet clinic. |
