. Going in for tit-for-tat is going to get people nowhere, fast. Xmasbaby was basically responding to your prior post where you thanked someone for spell checking. Let's just leave all subsequent spelling comments at the door, unless they require clarification (as in the case of country vs county).
Clearly there are upset people on all sides here, so let's allow each other to be upset without taking personal digs, name calling, or getting hotly emotional. A person can be upset but remain respectful...maybe we can aim for that, even if difficult.
As far as your pup goes, I can only tell you what I'd do -- I'd be consulting with a specialist by this time - and I'd definitely be at the nearest vet school asap, as they contain some of the best experts, oftentimes.
It's well and good that you feel affinity and loyalty to your vet, but when problems exceed their ability - it's
absolutely time to move to the next step. In my opinion, this situation far exceeds your vet's ability bc otherwise, the problem would not still be occurring. Also, keep in mind that many doctors, vets, nurses, plumbers, contractors or whomever will NOT necessarily admit when their abilities have been surpassed...some egos aren't built for that.
And at the end of the day, geesh, what do you have to *lose* by heading to a specialist? I can't think of a thing.
