If you drink sugary drinks like Coke or anything sweetened, cut those out of your life completely.  This alone can have a really dramatic effect and help you to shed pounds/lose bloat.   
Drink green tea.  Read the labels carefully to make sure it is real green tea and not just a flavored drink.  This can help boost your metabolism and curb your appetite.  I prefer the hot green tea with lemon.   
As suggested above, walk everywhere you can.  Take the stairs whenever you can.  Clean house or do anything that requires moving your body.  A gym workout isn't necessary, although stretching is really good.  Watch videos on YouTube to learn proper stretching/yoga techniques.     
Eat as much "real" food as possible.  Avoid processed foods.  Skip the "diet" foods that don't fill you up, like diet frozen dinners or diet cookies.  Most of the time people end up eating twice as much and are still left unsatisfied.     
Real food boosts your metabolism so that you burn more calories faster.     
Limit the amount of bread and pasta.  Aim for more meats and veggies.

  Yes to everything above except for the tea. I'm not much of a tea drinker. 

 join a sport if you can. My last 2 years of high school (when I was 16 and 17 years old) I joined sports. It helped keep me nice and trim. I was on the drill team (poor man's cheerleading) and on the track and field team. I was never any good at sports. Since the track and field team was not a big event at my school, they were happy to have us on the team even if we weren't all rock stars; we really needed participants just to keep a team going. I had so much fun! I wasn't winning any meets or awards, or was pressured to be perfect. It was a very fun experience and I really enjoy running now. I don't do much of it anymore, but I really should. I can't say enough just how fun that was.
