When I was 38 yrs old, I used to weigh 208lb, 5'8".. had borderline diabetic, gout, vertigo and high blood pressure. Doctor said I better do something or he was going to put me on medication. I started taking Shotokan Karate, ate more fruit, veggies, and less carbs like rice and bread. in about a 8 months, I dropped down to 184lbs. Still lover steaks, pork, meats.. I just eat in moderation.. also a grapefruit every night. Now I have more energy.. taking the Karate at least twice a week, 1.5-2 hr sessions, the energy of the class keeps you going and not tire.. I'm now 43 and stronger than I was when I was in my 20's |
