The soup spilled while being transferred to another bowl. Unfortunately, she was right by my mom's feet when it happened. And mom didn't know Zoey was there when she was transferring the soup.
Poor thing came running to me crying. I went through the first aid method of caring for scorched/burns right away. It was bit late at night and she seemed ok so I just kept an eye on her and decide whether to take her to the vet in the morning.
Luckily, Zoey wasn't too badly hurt. Vetericyn seemed to have helped alot and healed the area more quickly.
